The idea, in a minute

Bring your curiosity.
Leave someone with a possibility.

A useful introduction. An insight from your own experience. A fresh way to look at a problem. Something you know could be just what another woman needs to take her next step.

Bold Company brings local women together around ideas emerging from Traction Labs | Bold Moves, Pollinators’ one-day innovation sprint for women with an idea.

Hear what they’re exploring, ask questions and see where you can help. You might find a new connection—or the encouragement to give your own idea a go.

Good company, a little local backing and people ready to champion what comes next.

A conversation worth having

What does it really take
to give an idea a go?

Sam Garven has built a startup, been through Techstars and made the difficult decision to close a business when the case for continuing wasn’t strong enough.

She brings first-hand experience of developing ideas, testing them and listening to the market. Her practical, generous approach to mentoring is why Pollinators chose her to facilitate Bold Moves.

At Bold Company, join an open conversation about the possibilities, surprises and difficult decisions that come with starting something. Bring the questions you’d like to ask.

Where the ideas begin

One idea. One focused day.
Is it worth pursuing?

Traction Labs | Bold Moves
A one-day innovation sprint for women.

Bring the idea you keep coming back to. A new product, a side hustle, a community initiative or a better way of doing things inside your organisation. You might be a founder, an innovator or an intrapreneur—someone creating change from within.

Work intensively with Sam Garven and other women to challenge your assumptions, explore who needs your idea, try an early version and work out what to test with real people.

Protected working time, practical guidance and decisions to make. Leave with something tangible to test and a clearer view of whether to pursue your idea, change direction or put it aside.

You don’t need a polished plan. You do need an idea you’re ready to work on.

Know a woman with an idea?

Tell her about
Bold Moves.

The colleague who sees a better way. The friend with a side project. The woman who keeps saying “someone should do this”. An invitation from you could be the reason she gives it a day.

“You know that idea you’ve been thinking about? Bold Moves is a one-day innovation sprint for women in Geraldton on Saturday 7 November. A full day with Sam Garven to challenge it, try an early version and see whether it’s worth pursuing. I thought of you.”

Have an idea of your own?
Give it a working day.

A business idea, a new approach at work or something you want to change in your community. Bring it to Bold Moves and put it to the test.

Ask about registering

You can attend the sprint, the evening or both. Contact Pollinators for registration details.

Local money. Local ideas.

A little backing.
People in your corner.

Every $100 ticket includes $10 towards a prize for one promising idea shared on the evening.

The prize

A practical boost.

100 women × $10 from every ticket = $1,000 towards one promising local idea. The final prize depends on ticket sales and will support a practical next step.

The people

More than one idea can benefit.

An introduction to a potential customer. Feedback from someone who understands the problem. An offer to try an early version. Every woman sharing an idea has a chance to find useful support.

This first evening is a pilot: a chance to see what happens when local women put their money, experience and connections behind local ideas.
